Stair step 20 cm wood or paving - MODULESCA

The MODULESCA exterior staircase is a product that is revolutionizing the construction of garden stairs. Consisting of modules that interlock with each other, you can create all types of stairs: straight stairs, quarter-turn stairs or more or less sinuous. The steps of the stairs can be covered with wood, paving or outdoor tiling.

Use of the outdoor stair tread

Finished the long awl work to set up an outdoor staircase, thanks to MODULESCA it becomes child's play and only takes half a day to complete.

Before starting your exterior staircase installation, carry out a few steps to prepare the ground:

  • Define the location of the stairs
  • Break out the surface to a depth of 10 cm
  • Dig 1 m wide and 20 cm deep to accommodate the first element of the staircase
  • Line the bottom with gravel (size 0-20) and place the module there

Once the ground is perfectly prepared to accommodate the rest of the staircase structure, let's move on to laying the staircase:

  • Check with a level that your module is straight
  • Fill it with gravel to keep it in place (do not obstruct the slides)
  • Remove the next module, fit the lugs into the nuts
  • Slide the module against the embankment and secure it with 3 screws
  • Put pressure on the step while fixing it

The last step is to make the dressing of the steps of the external staircase:

  • For wooden cladding: position and screw the joists then screw the wooden slats onto the joists. Leave a clearance of 3 to 5 mm between the blades.
  • For a paving covering: pour concrete dosed at 350 kg up to the edge, glue the pavings on the steps and risers. Let it dry for 48 hours before use.
