- This light wood, with green reflections is class 4. Thus, it can be in permanent contact with fresh water. Stable and rot-proof thanks to a treatment guaranteed for 10 years, it is resistant to fungi and other inconveniences.
- Note that Northern Red Pine planks should be installed on pedestals and not in direct contact with the ground.
- Concerning the certifications, northern red pine wood is called KD for its kiln drying. It is also PEFC certified, which guarantees that Northern Red Pine wood comes from responsible sources that implement sustainable forest management practices.
